Six people died and 40 were injured in a stampede near the ticket center for Vaikuntha Dwar Darshan in Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Baikuntha Dwar Sarvadarshanam is a special darshan lasting 10 days, which is going to start from Friday. The local administration did not take the event seriously, SDM, 6 suspended including CO, Tehsildar. SIT held the organizers guilty on the basis of eyewitnesses and evidence. The organizers took permission for the event by hiding the facts. Tehsil level officials did not take the event seriously and did not even inform the higher officials. The SDM gave permission without inspecting the venue. The organizers did not follow the prescribed rules, the people of the organizing committee created chaos. The organizers misbehaved with the police, did not make barricades or passages to control the crowd at the venue.
