Ashwin said – My time is over, hence took retirement: I want to be honest about my game, if I don’t deserve it then don’t play.

a few moments ago

Indian cricketer R Ashwin said that he retired only because he felt that his time was over. Ashwin had announced his retirement in the middle of the Border-Gavaskar series that ended this month in Australia. He retired from international cricket after the third Test in Brisbane. No one expected that Ashwin would take such a big decision in Australia. Ashwin played only one match in this Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Father was also surprised by Ashwin’s decision His father was also surprised by his decision. Ashwin’s father had said that his son was insulted, that is why he suddenly retired. Ashwin later denied this and on his father’s statement requested everyone to forgive him and leave him alone. Now for the first time Ashwin has spoken openly about his retirement from international cricket. He said on his YouTube channel, “I think a lot about what to do in life. You should understand that it happens naturally. If someone realizes that his time is over, then when he thinks, When it comes to this, there is nothing left to think about. People have said a lot, but I don’t think it is a big deal.”

Ashwin said- I did not want to play the farewell test Ashwin further said on his channel, ‘I want to play more cricket. Where is the place? Obviously, not in the Indian dressing room but somewhere else, I want to be honest towards the game. Imagine, if I want to play the farewell test but I am not deserving to play in the team, then I myself would not want to be included. I don’t deserve it and if I get a chance just because it’s my farewell test, I won’t accept it myself. I feel there is still strength in my cricket. I could have played more but Why did you take retirement is much better than Why didn’t you take retirement. One thing I would say is that in our cricket career it may happen that what we want does not happen. But when I retired, there was nothing like that. It’s all about learning. We play the game for the joy it gives us.’
