Voting took place today on 9 seats of Uttar Pradesh

MATRIZE has released its exit poll regarding the by-elections on 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. In this exit poll, NDA has been given lead. According to this exit poll, NDA is leading on seven seats in UP while Samajwadi Party is said to be ahead on a total of two seats. Everyone’s eyes are on the results of UP. A contest between CM Yogi Adityanath and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is also being considered in UP. How intense the war on 9 seats is, can be gauged from the fact that during the voting for Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections on Wednesday, the most discussed issue was the by-elections on these 9 seats of UP. During the voting, BJP and Samajwadi Party made fierce allegations against each other and the matter reached the Election Commission. Bharatiya Janata Party and Samajwadi Party are claiming victory in the by-election. What are the exit polls indicating in Maharashtra?
The Election Commission has suspended two police officers, SI Arun Kumar Singh and SI Rakesh Kumar Nadar, who were checking the identity cards of the voters going to vote. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had complained about some communities being prevented from voting during the UP by-elections. Acting on these complaints, the Election Commission has taken this step. Here, BJP candidate from Sisamau, Suresh Awasthi, has accused socialist workers of pelting stones.
