Major accident near Goa, collision between Indian Navy and fishing boat, 2 crew members missing

There was a collision between the Indian fishing boat ‘Marthoma’ and an Indian Navy ship in Goa. There were 13 members in the boat, out of which 11 were rescued safely. Meanwhile, the search for the remaining two members is ongoing. After this accident, the Indian Navy immediately started a large-scale search and rescue operation. The Indian Navy has deployed six ships and several aircraft for this operation. Apart from naval ships and aircraft, other resources have also been involved in the rescue operation. The agencies present in the coastal areas of Goa and Mumbai are also engaged in this work with full readiness. However, the reason behind how this collision happened is not yet known. An investigation will be launched to find out the cause of the accident, but at present the priority is to find the missing fishermen.
