Monitoring center will be built in Maharashtra to monitor media, keep an eye on confusion

The Maharashtra government has decided to set up a media monitoring center to monitor news content. This center will monitor the content of print, electronic and digital media.

This will monitor and analyze all the factual and confusion that create confusion and will prepare a report according to the Government Resolution (GR). A budget of Rs 10 crore has been allocated for this.

The center will immediately clarify it if there is confusion in any news. This action will be taken more quickly in the case of negative news.

Case filed against West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu in Jadavpur University violence case

Kolkata Police has registered an FIR against West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu, his driver and TMC leader Om Prakash Mishra over the clashes at Jadavpur University.

The student who lodged an FIR said that he was hurt by Basu’s car during a protest in the university.

On March 1, there was a protest in the university demanding to declare the date of the student union election. In this, students of SFI and AISA surrounded Basu’s car, broke the glass and punctured tire.

During the clashes, there was a sabotage and arson in the union office of the teachers. Basu was admitted to SSKM Hospital after an injury.

Raids on Sta Deputy Commissioner’s locations in Odisha, 3 gold biscuits and 1.5 million cash recovered

Odisha Vigilance raided the 9 locations of State Transport Authority (STA) Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Mohanty on corruption charges. During this period, 3 gold biscuits, gold jewelery and Rs 15 lakh cash were recovered.

Actually this action was taken on the orders of Bhubaneswar Special Judge (Vigilance). The Vigilance team also searched Mohanty’s houses, farm houses, petrol pumps, flats and under construction buildings located in Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh and Cuttack.

High court ban on suspension of Jamia students, described peaceful demonstration

The Delhi High Court has stayed the suspension of 17 students of Jamia Millia Islamia University. These students were performing peacefully outside the canteen, when they were suspended and prevented from entering the premises.

Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma instructed the university to constitute a committee under the supervision of the Vice Chancellor. The court said, ‘Prima facie this performance seems to be peaceful. The way the university handled the opposition of students is worrying.

The court said that ‘peaceful demonstrations are part of the democratic process and students should get an opportunity to learn from it’. The next hearing of the case will be held on 2 May.

The center of 14 witnesses of the Gujarat riots removed the security, the witness said- it is not right to remove the security, we are still scared

The central government has removed the security of 14 witnesses of the 2002 Gujarat riots. These witnesses were to testify about the violence in different districts of Gujarat. The Ministry of Home Affairs has taken this decision based on the recommendation of SIT.

The Odisha government introduced the new color code orange for school buildings, now green color is used

The Odisha government has announced a new color code for buildings of all government schools including PM Shri schools across the state. The Odisha School Education Program Authority (OSEPA) has written to all collectors-cum-presidents to adopt a similar color code for all government schools.

Under the BJD, all government schools across the state were painted green, including the official buildings. However, after taking charge of the new government, the color of the official buildings has turned into a light orange color along the orange-brown edge.

Apart from this, a few months after the BJP government of the state took charge, the color and design of the school uniform for class IX and X had changed from green to light brown and maroon.
