Train hijacked in Pakistan’s Balochistan province
Islamabad: Mushtaq Mohammed, a passenger of the train that was hijacked in Balochistan province of Pakistan, said that he would never forget the dreadful scene of the attack. Mushtaq is one of the passengers who have been rescued after the attack by the Baloch rebels on the passenger train. According to security officials, security forces killed at least 27 terrorists and 155 passengers have been rescued after a passenger train was attacked by Baloch militants in a tunnel in Balochistan province of Pakistan on Tuesday. Security sources said 37 passengers have been injured during the rescue operation, who have been provided treatment.
BLA took responsibility
Officials said the Jafar Express train was going from Quetta to Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with about 500 passengers in 9 coaches, when the armed attackers stopped it in a tunnel near Piru Kunari and Gudlar areas in Bolan area on Tuesday afternoon. The ‘Balochistan Liberation Army’ (BLA) later took responsibility for the attack. Some passengers claimed that the attackers had told them that they were leaving Baloch, women, children and the elderly but government officials claimed that they had saved more than 100 of them.

According to a report by ‘BBC Urdu’, Mushtaq, riding in coach number three of the train, said, “A ‘big explosion’ occurred at the beginning of the attack.” He said, “Firing started after an hour. It was a scene that could never be forgotten. ”A passenger named Ishaq Noor, who was riding in box number seven of this train, was going from Quetta to Rawalpindi with his wife and two children. Ishaq Noor said, “The explosion was so strong that the windows and doors of the train were shaken and a child sitting near me fell down.” He said, “The firing would have gone for about 50 minutes, during this time we were not able to breathe, we did not know what will happen.”
‘He was talking in Baluchi language’
Mushtaq said the firing gradually stopped and armed men entered the train coaches. He said, “He started looking at the identity cards of some people and separated some of them. Three terrorists were guarding the doors of our compartment. He told the people that they would not say anything to the common citizens, women, old and Baloch people. ”Mushtaq said that the attackers were talking among themselves in Baluchi language and their leader was repeatedly telling them that they should keep a special look at the security personnel and they could not get out of hand.

Ishaq said, “I think he brought down at least 11 passengers from our compartment and said that he is a security personnel.” During this time a person tried to protest after which he was tortured and then the sound of bullets came. After this, all the people present in the compartment followed their instructions. “He said,” They were not letting me go but when I told him that I am a resident of Trubat (Balochistan) and I have children and women with me, they also let me go. “
The scene was creepy
Another passenger Mohammad Ashraf said that the terrorists allowed the elderly, citizens, women and children to go. He said, “The passengers were very scared, it was a dreadful scene as the day of doom.” Ashraf said, “According to my estimate, he (Baloch rebel) took around 250 people with him and the number of attackers was around 1,100.” (Language)
