Shreyas Iyer will captain Mumbai in the domestic T20 tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25. For this, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced a 17-member team. The tournament will be played from 23 November to 15 December. Mumbai’s first match is against Goa.
Earlier reports had come that like Ranji Trophy, Rahane will captain Mumbai in Mushtaq Ali Trophy also. But keeping in mind the T20 format, Iyer has been made the captain. On Sunday, an MCA official said, Iyer will be the captain of Mumbai’s T20 team for Syed Mushtaq Ali, Shaw has also been included in the team.

25-year-old Prithvi Shaw was dropped from the team in Ranji Trophy due to fitness. After which he has returned to the team.
