Bollywood vs South Industry: For years, Bollywood was the uncrowned king of Indian cinema. Hindi films ruled the box office. Gave blockbuster films one after the other, which the audience watched with great interest, because the story line had a mixture of action, emotion, drama, songs and a great story. Simply put, multi-genre film making is Indian cinema. It has something for everyone and entertains all sections of the society. However, for the last several years it seems that Bollywood is losing its charm. Except Jawan, Pathan, Gadar 2 and Stree 2, many films have flopped back to back. Meanwhile, South Indian cinema took the Hindi field by storm with its powerful entertainment. Films like Bahubali, KGF, Pushpa and RRR not only gathered audiences but also won many awards while earning huge profits all over the world.

What are the audiences not able to connect with Bollywood movies?
If we discuss why people are not able to connect with Bollywood movies in today’s times and why South movies seem real to them. Responding to this, film critics believe that South Indian cinema, be it Telugu, Tamil or Kannada, has adopted the indigenous culture and has mastered the art.
Why are audiences connecting with South films on Chartbuster?
Take Pushpa: The Rise, for example. The audience is connecting with Allu Arjun’s story of rebellion and ambition. It seems real to them, because in this Pushpa fights stubbornly to become rich from poor. Similarly, Bahubali gave the audience a larger-than-life epic, in which high octane scenes created a lot of stir. The result was that everyone from urban, rural, young and old talked about the film.
What is missing in Bollywood films?
In contrast, urban and foreign culture is more adopted in Bollywood. The strange story has largely alienated the audience. People of small towns are not able to digest obscenity and modern thinking and they are not going to theaters even with their families, hence movies are flopping and are being watched on OTT or pirated sites.
How to setup South and Bollywood movies business
Talking about business, while Bollywood covers metro cities, South Industry is making its mark in smaller markets also. This is the reason why Bollywood superstars have moved to the South to regain their shine at the box office. Shahrukh Khan did Jawan with Tamil filmmaker Atlee. Salman Khan is reportedly working on Sikandar with AR Murugadoss. Even it is being said that Aamir Khan will also be seen with Rajinikanth in Coolie. Varun Dhawan was seen in a never-before-seen avatar in Atlee’s Baby John.
