The country’s Union Budget 2025 is going to be presented soon. Like every year, this time too this budget will bring new hopes and possibilities for the country’s economy and the general public. The eyes of the entire country are fixed on this important announcement, which will decide the direction of development for the upcoming financial year. The Finance Minister will present this important document in the Parliament in the coming month. For a long time, the Union Budget is presented in Parliament every year on 1 February.
When will the second budget of Modi 3.0 government come?
This year also it is expected that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget (Budget 2025-26) on 1 February. However, no official confirmation has been made by the government. This will be the second budget of Modi 3.0 Government.
Earlier the budget was presented in the evening
Till the mid-90s, the Union Budget was presented at 5 pm on the last working day of February, a tradition that continued for several decades. In 1997, the then Finance Minister P. Chidambaram initiated this change by presenting the budget at 11 am instead of 5 pm. The main objective behind this was that the market could get enough time to give its reaction on the budget.
On every Saturday and Sunday, Indian stock exchanges are generally closed for trading. The Union Budget has been presented many times before on Saturday.
Budget 2025 Date and time
It is expected that like last many years, this time also the Finance Minister will present the Union Budget 2025 on 1st February at 11 am. This will be the eighth consecutive budget of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, which includes six annual and two interim budgets.
Expectations from Budget 2025
As the date of Union Budget 2025 is coming closer, expectations of getting income tax relief are increasing among employed people. Actually, it is being heard that the income tax exemption limit may be increased in the budget this year. Tax exemption limit can be increased to Rs 10 lakh. If this really happens then taxpayers will benefit a lot.
There may be many announcements for farmers also in the budget. Let us tell you that the farmers are demanding that the government should give legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP).
