At the same time, the Assistant Teacher (Mercury Teacher) involved in the appointment will not get a discount in qualifying marks after the Jharkhand High Court order.

Officials of the Department of School Education and Literacy will meet

Further legal aspects will be considered in the case of mercury teachers. Out of 26 thousand assistant teachers in the state, 13 thousand posts are reserved for mercury teachers. While the number of successful mercury teachers in Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test is about 11500.

Appointment in primary schools after nine years

Application was sought in the year 2015 for the appointment of teachers in primary and middle schools of Jharkhand. Based on the application of 2015, teachers have been appointed by the order of the High Court. In such a situation, no appointment has been made to the post of vacant teachers after the year 2015. In such a situation, teachers will be appointed in primary and middle school after nine years.

50 thousand posts of Assistant Acharya created

50 thousand posts of Assistant Acharya are created in the state. Of these, 26 thousand teachers are being appointed in the first phase. After this, 24 thousand teachers will be appointed in the second phase. Before the appointment of the second phase, Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test will be taken. The student teacher ratio in the state is the worst in the country. According to the report released for the year 2023-24 by the central government, there are a teacher on 35 students in the state.

Education Minister Ramdas Soren said that after the order of the court regarding the appointment of Assistant Acharya, now the appointment process will be completed soon. The new academic session will start from April 1, so preparations are being made to complete the appointment process by April. Guidelines in this regard have been given to the officials of the department.
