This matter is of 26th December. When the youth did not have bribe money to give to the head constable, he consumed poison. After this, on December 31, he died in a hospital in Karnal.
In this case, on the complaint of the grandfather of the deceased youth Gurmeet, the police has registered a case of corruption and abetment of suicide against 3 people including the accused head constable. Meanwhile, 8 Marla outpost incharge Sushil Kumar and accused head constable Abhimanyu have been suspended.
After the case was registered in the suicide case, SP Lokendra Singh had suspended head constable Abhimanyu and outpost incharge Sushil.

Complete story related to youth’s suicide, 5 points
1. Young man had a fight in the village, head constable started demanding bribe Gurmeet (24) of Binjhaul village of Panipat had a fight with Rajpal of the same village. The case reached 8 Marla police post. Here a settlement was reached between Gurmeet and Rajpal for Rs 5,000.
Gurmeet’s grandfather Maman Ram had alleged that later the investigating officer of 8 Marla outpost, Head Constable Abhimanyu, in connivance, started pressurizing his grandson. Asked him for Rs 5,000 in return for settlement of the complaint with the police.
2. Gave three thousand, asked for time for two thousand, HC kept harassing Gurmeet gave 3 thousand rupees to Abhimanyu, but asked for time for 2 thousand rupees. Gurmeet asked him to give him the money by selling his mobile. It is alleged that after this Abhimanyu kept harassing Gurmeet for money. The family accused Gurmeet of assault at the post on December 25.
3. Swallowed poison when the head constable threatened him with jail. On December 26, Abhimanyu told Gurmeet that if he did not pay the money, he would put him in jail. After this Gurmeet drank poison in front of the post. He was admitted to Kalpana Chawla Medical College, Karnal, where he died on December 31.
4. Sent call recording to friend before dying Dada Maman Ram told that on the afternoon of 26th December, Gurmeet called his friend Lalit and cousin Suraj, resident of Hadtari. To whom it was said that he had sent an audio recording on WhatsApp. He is troubled by the threat from the policeman.
That’s why he is drinking poison. The friend immediately called cousin Suraj and told him about this. After this Gurmeet also called Suraj and said that he had consumed poison and was lying outside the post.
5. Police registered a case but no arrests were made In this case, a case was registered against the accused head constables Abhimanyu, Rajpal and Suresh on the complaint of Gurmeet’s grandfather in 8 Marla Chowki. A case was registered against the three accused under sections 108, 115, 308(6), 351(3) of BNS and Anti-Corruption Act 13(7). However, the head constable has not been arrested yet in this case.
