New Delhi: The Congress on Wednesday formed a new department to take care of its properties across the country, in charge of which has been made in charge of former Punjab minister Vijay Inder Singla. This information was given in a release issued by Congress’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal. Senior Singla Party leader Ajay Maken is accompanied by Joint Treasurer of the Congress Party. Former Punjab minister Singla has also been a Lok Sabha member from Sangrur.
The release said, “Congress President (Mallikarjun Kharge) has formed a new AICC department to oversee the assets of the Congress party across the country and appointed Vijay Inder Singla as AICC in -charge of the department with immediate effect.” He will continue to be the joint treasurer of AICC. ”
Kharge made this request to party leaders
Congress President Kharge had urged party leaders to take legal resort to withdraw the properties that were in the party at the time of the first partition in the party during the inauguration of the new party headquarters at Indira Bhavan. He also urged party leaders to build a party headquarters in every district.

Recently, after collecting all the relevant property documents, we lodged an objection in the Land Records Office, later registered the name of the Congress in the official records. ”
Congress workers accused of forcibly entering JDU office
Under the leadership of Veerakumar Patil, the Building Construction Committee of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee inspected the site. Hallur said that he would soon offer a proposal to set up a new party office at the place. JDU district president Shailguda Kamatar accused Congress workers of forcibly entering the JDU office and removing goods from there. He said that the property was of JDU, but the Congress pressured the officials to register it in its name. He said that he has decided to take legal action and would file a case to get back the property. Similarly, Gururaj Hunasimarad of Janata Dal (Secular) and former MLA Virbhadrappa Halharavi filed a complaint, claiming that the Congress forcefully captured the JDU office. (With language inputs)
