Party sources say that there will be a brainstorming in the meeting after the inputs brought by the Leader of Opposition and the party organization in Haryana. There is a possibility that after this brainstorming, the party may make an announcement regarding changes in the Leader of Opposition and organization in Haryana.

At present, 4 leaders are involved in the race for Leader of Opposition in Haryana. The names of Raghubir Kadian, former CM Bhupendra Hooda, Ashok Arora and Chandramohan Bishnoi are in it.

These were the results of Haryana Assembly elections Congress had won 37 seats in the Haryana Assembly elections. Whereas, BJP had captured 48 seats. Congress got 39.1 percent votes in the state and BJP got 39.9 percent votes. Congress seemed quite confident about its victory, but got a shock on the result day.

These are the election results in Maharashtra On the other hand, Congress has won only 16 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Its ally Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) has got 20 seats and NCP (Sharad faction) has got 10 seats. Samajwadi Party has also won 2 seats.

These issues can be discussed in the CWC meeting…

1. There are indications that the issue of the government’s continuous refusal to demand a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation into the allegations of corruption against the Adani Group in America is being discussed.

2. President Mallikarjun Kharge will discuss the results of both the states (Haryana-Maharashtra) and focus on preparation for future challenges.

3. The biggest reason for the defeat in Haryana is being said to be factionalism among the party leaders. MP Kumari Selja was angry over the distribution of tickets in the elections in the state. For this reason, the issue of factionalism in Haryana can be raised in the meeting.

These 3 reasons for defeat in Haryana came to the fore…

First: After Shakti Singh Gohil went to Gujarat in June 2023, Deepak Babaria was made in-charge of Haryana Congress. Babariya is considered a member of Rahul Gandhi’s kitchen cabinet. After being made in-charge, Babaria was neither able to prepare an organization nor stop factionalism. Moreover, he did not even inform the central leadership about this.

Second: Ajay Maken was the head of the screening committee in Haryana elections in the assembly elections. The work of ticket distribution remains with the screening committee only. Only Hooda faction was given importance in ticket distribution. 72 out of 89 tickets were given to Hooda supporters. After this, Selja got angry and walked out of the election campaign. When the exercise of alliance with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was started, Ajay Maken and Bhupendra Hooda were against it.

third: Neel Kanugolu was watching Congress politics in Haryana. It is said that the road map of Haryana Mange Hisab was also prepared by Sunil’s team. On the basis of Kanugolu’s survey, Hooda camp got many major decisions taken from the high command, but Kanugolu failed to understand the strategy of BJP. Sunil’s team could not counter the way BJP prepared the formula of Jat versus non-Jat on the ground.

These 4 leaders are in the race for Leader of Opposition Four faces are involved in the race for Leader of Opposition of Congress in Haryana. The name of Raghubir Kadian (80), one of the experienced leaders, is coming forward. The Congress high command can gamble on a senior and experienced leader amid the ongoing factionalism in the party.

However, apart from former CM Bhupendra Hooda, the names of non-Jat faces in this race include Thanesar MLA Ashok Arora and Panchkula MLA Chandramohan Bishnoi are also in discussion. The results of the assembly elections in the state came on October 8. After this, a meeting of MLAs was held in Chandigarh and the high command was given the right to choose the Leader of Opposition. But, no decision could be taken on this. Meanwhile, a session also passed without the Leader of Opposition.

Former CM Hooda had said that the decision on this was not taken due to Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections. Now that the elections are over here and the results came on 23rd November, it can be announced after that.

Earlier, Congress spokesperson Balmukund Sharma had also claimed that Bhupendra Hooda will not be the Leader of Opposition this time. But, Hooda can save his politics by putting forward his close friend i.e. Dr. Raghubir Kadian. By doing this, he will also be successful in giving a message to the leaders of Haryana that Congress is not out of his say.
