Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said that raising funds for other welfare and development schemes including ‘Mayian Samman Yojana’ in the state is a big challenge, but our government will not put any additional burden on the people of the state for this. The government will raise the necessary funds through its internal resources.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren was addressing a seminar organized to discuss with experts from various fields before the construction of the state budget of 2025-26 in the Jharkhand Ministry on Tuesday. He clarified that in this year’s budget, priority will be given to the schemes and efforts related to providing maximum opportunities for employment and self -employment to the youth. He said that after the implementation of GST, the compensation amount given to the states by the Central Government has now been closed. Since then, the states have to raise the entire amount for financial management themselves.

Hemant Soren said that our government has achieved remarkable achievements on various indices of development using its resources in the past years. There are some indexes in which Jharkhand is at number one in the entire country. Referring to the economic challenges of the state, Soren said that we are concluded in the matter of mineral wealth, but despite this, the truth should be accepted that our state has remained backward in terms of development in the last two decades.

He said that our mineral wealth is a major basis for the country’s economy, but despite this, resources for the development of our state are less. Our aim is to make far -reaching schemes and put them on the ground, which will also benefit generations to come. Referring to the ‘Mukhyamantri Mani Samman Yojana’, he said that it has proved to be a concrete step towards the economic self -sufficiency of women.

Addressing the seminar, State Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore said that the state has set an example of strong financial management in the last five years. The range of fiscal deficit is determined, our state is far below that limit. Despite the implementation of the code of conduct for several months due to the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in 2024, our government has achieved 54 percent of the revenue recovery till December.

This seminar was also addressed by economist Dr. Harishwar Dayal, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari and experts from various fields and also gave many important suggestions to the government regarding the budget. In the program, prizes and honors were also given to many citizens of the state who gave the best suggestions on the portal for the Jharkhand budget.
