Know in the story India’s possible playing-11 for the second test…
Less scope for change in batting order There is little scope for change in the batting order of the Indian team in this match. Captain Rohit Sharma can bat in the middle order in the third match also. Yashasvi Jaiswal will do the opening only. KL Rahul will support him. Shubman Gill will be at number-3, Virat Kohli at number-4, Rishabh Pant at number-5 and Rohit at number-6. Before the third match, the players batted in the same order in the practice session.
Sundar may return India’s only spinner in Adelaide was Ravichandran Ashwin, although he may have to sit out this match. Washington Sundar may return in his place. In the Adelaide Test, Ashwin took just 1 wicket for 53 runs in 18 overs in the first innings. He scored 29 runs in both the innings with the bat.
For India, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar of the current squad have scored fifties in Brisbane. Sundar has 84 runs in his name in two innings of a match here. With Sundar’s presence, the team will also get the option of left-right combination and there will be depth in India’s batting.
Apart from Sundar and Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja is also an option, but considering the past record, Sundar can be a part of the playing-11. The other all-rounder will be Nitish Reddy, who is consistently performing well with the bat.
Famous-Battle of the third pacer in the sky Vice captain Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj will be the first 2 pacers. Leaving aside these two, bowling all-rounder Harshit Rana had disappointed in the Adelaide Test. He did not get a single wicket in both the innings. Also, he could not even open his account in both the innings. In such a situation, it is possible that Harshit may sit out of the Gaba Test. Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna may get a chance in his place. Right arm fast bowler Akash Deep is also a contender.
