Bangladeshi infiltrators are harming Delhi’s economic-social and even political structure. Local people’s jobs are going due to them and government facilities are also under pressure. Demography has changed from this infiltration from areas like Seelampur, Jamia Nagar, Sultanpuri and Jafarabad in Delhi. Bangladeshi infiltrators are also getting support from some religious groups and political people. All these things are open in a report.
This report has been released by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The report is named ‘Illegal immigrants in Delhi: analysis of socio-economic and political consequences’. The 114 -page report shows how Bangladeshi infiltrators are having an impact on the country and especially the capital Delhi. Tata Institute for Social Science also contributes to the report.
First come alone, then families settle in Delhi
The report states that most Bangladeshi intruders adopt the ‘Family First’ policy. First a man of the family settled inside Delhi, earns money and finds a place to live. After this, he starts bringing family members from Bangladesh one by one.
The report states that these intruders stay in the border states for the first few days and then move towards Delhi. The number of illegal women has also increased in the last few days. More than 43% of intruders coming to Delhi stop in West Bengal.
The report has also revealed that the intruders, who are living in Delhi for more than 10 years, have an important role in bringing new intruders to India and settling here. The report states that some of their groups and religious groups have a big hand in helping these intruders in Delhi.
According to the report, groups built around regional or religious identities help them after settling in Delhi. In this, big work is organized on Eid, Muharram and other religious festivals. Some political people are also involved in these.
NGO-religious group supporting
The report said, “NGOs and religious groups play an important role without registering services such as providing services like roof, food, healthcare, education, legal aid and access to banking,” the report said. Their scope is not clear legally. These people help illegal migrants to get employment and meet and get into local communities, sometimes these government rules also ignore. ”
The report states, “Apart from the assistance given by NGO, many local political personalities also have significant participation in it. These often help illegal migrants in exchange for political loyalty. These political celebrities can give them even fake paper to find a house. The weak status of these intruders can be taken advantage of during the elections. ”
Employment is snatching, Bangladesh is providing money
The report has also revealed that these intruders are snatching the employment of the local people. Most of these are engaged in unskilled areas. The report states that these intruders are ready to work on less money in Delhi. It is involved in works like construction, domestic work, cleanliness and street vendors within Delhi. Due to this, unemployment within Delhi is also increasing. These people are also involved in crime and illegal businesses. It is promoting Delhi’s Black Economy.

The report states that these intruders are not only earning their own work in India but are also sending money to Bangladesh. The report has found that 80% of Bangladeshi infiltrators living in India send back to their homes here.
About 50% of Bangladeshis have also opened accounts in India. 20% of Bangladeshi intruders have also purchased land, which is a matter of concern. The report states that this work in Delhi is making a difference on the economy.
Buses remain in areas like Seilampur, Jamia Nagar and Zafarabad
This report has also revealed that 96.3% infiltrators living in Delhi are Muslims. Due to these, demographics of those areas of Delhi have also changed, where they have settled. According to the report, Bangladeshi infiltrators settled in crowded areas like Seelampur, Jamia Nagar, Zakir Nagar, Sultanpuri, Mustafabad, Zafarabad, Dwarka, Govindpuri etc. Due to these, there is pressure on the facilities available to the residents living here.

Due to the continuous Bangladeshi infiltrators coming to Delhi, the demographics here have deteriorated. According to the report, Hindus were 84% of the population of Delhi in 1951, which declined to 81% by 2011. But in the meantime, the Muslim population increased from 5.7% to around 12.8.
This means that Muslims doubled in Delhi due to illegal intruders, including other reasons. The report states that 75% of illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators living in Delhi are also taking advantage of health facilities, due to which the local people do not get treatment.
Connected with crime, this threatens democracy
The report also expresses concern about their crime and being involved in fake paper. The report said, “An important challenge in dealing with intruders in Delhi is the use of fake identity documents. It often makes fake Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards and ration cards, which gives them a chance to join the city’s social and economic system. They also steal identity on many occasions.
The report says that they are also affecting the democracy of the country. The report says, “Availability of these fake documents increases concerns about India’s democratic processes. If non -citizens participate in elections even small, then this possibility is a big issue, due to which there is also a strict investigation against the migrants. ”
