Israel will stop attacks on Lebanon, ceasefire deal done with Hezbollah

The Israeli Army started limited target ground operation in Lebanon on October 1. This entire operation was named ‘Northern Arrow’. On one hand, the Israeli army was targeting Hezbollah’s bases and weapons stores by air strikes one after the other, while the operation on the ground was also intensified. But now the time for ceasefire has come. According to Israeli media, this ceasefire agreement was prepared on Monday and it can be approved in the Israeli National Security Cabinet meeting to be held on Tuesday.

An Israeli government spokesperson said, ‘We are moving towards a deal, but there are still some issues that need to be addressed.’ However, it has also been approved by Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the report, the leadership of Hezbollah in Lebanon is also agreeing to this ceasefire offer of America, but nothing can be said until the deal is done.

Hezbollah took hold of its rockets
Ever since the discussion about this ceasefire started, there has been a decline in attacks by Hezbollah from Lebanon. Hezbollah used to fire 150-200 rockets at Israel a day. On Monday this figure was limited to just double digits. However, the Israeli Army i.e. IDF wants to destroy all the major bases of Hezbollah before the announcement of this ceasefire and that is why continuous air strikes are going on. On Monday, the IDF bombed several positions of Hezbollah’s Executive Council. This is the supreme body of Hezbollah.

In this war, the IDF carried out the most shocking pager attack of the century on Hezbollah, which became an example of technological warfare. When more than 3000 Hezbollah terrorists were targeted simultaneously through pager attack. The surprise was when they entered Beirut and killed Hezbollah chief Nasrallah along with 20 of his other commanders. That too with the best use of technology, which no one can even imagine.

However, no one would have thought that Iran is helping Hezbollah and America is continuously helping Israel in the war, that both would suddenly agree to a ceasefire. It is clear that Biden at least wants to take credit for stopping this war before Donald Trump arrives.

UN Peace Keeper’s worries will end with ceasefire
By the way, this ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah will also end the worries of the UN peacekeepers. While Hezbollah was firing rockets at UNIFIL positions, the Israeli army was also entering its posts with its tanks. So far 45 Lebanese soldiers have died in Israeli attacks. This is the reason that just before the ceasefire, UNIFIL issued a statement full of concern expressing displeasure over the Israeli army targeting the Lebanese army.

UNIFIL said in its statement that even after the Lebanese Army announced that it would not participate in this war, the Israeli Air Force targeted Lebanese soldiers. In the last few weeks, the Lebanese army suffered heavy losses of lives and property in Israeli attacks. According to the Lebanese Army, 45 of its soldiers have been killed so far. Such attacks are a violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and international human rights laws, which are not involved in the conflict.

However, the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah will not only provide relief to the common people of Lebanon but also those who are forced to take refuge in Syria and other places to escape this war will also be able to return home.
