Jharkhand Budget 2025: The Jharkhand government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren presented its first budget for the financial year 2025-26 on Monday, which has a total amount of Rs 1.45 lakh crore. This is more than Rs 1.28 lakh crore in the budget of 2024-25 of the last year. In the education budget, Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore has proposed a budget of Rs 15 thousand 198 crore 35 lakh 30 thousand for preliminary and secondary education in the financial year 2025-26 and Rs 2 thousand 409 crore 20 lakh 96 thousand for higher and technical education.

While presenting the budget in the state assembly, Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore said that it will fulfill the aspirations of various sections of the society including farmers, women, tribals and underprivileged. He expressed confidence that the proposed budget will lead to significant development in the entire state.

Business and Mass Communication School will be established

This year’s budget is also special for the education sector as Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore has proposed the establishment of two new universities, skills university and Fin-Tech University with the aim of promoting vocational education in the state. Along with this, School of Business and Mass Communication will also be established in Jamshedpur, Palamu, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh and Deoghar.

Jharkhand Budget 2025: 5 new law colleges will open

To promote law studies in the state, a total of 5 new law colleges have been proposed to be established in Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Dumka and Palamu.

Higher and technical education will be promoted

It has been introduced in the budget that for the purpose of promoting technical education, action will be taken to start studies from academic session 2025-26 in newly constructed government engineering colleges in Bokaro and Godda. Apart from this, engineering colleges are also being set up by the state government in Ranchi/Khunti, Jamshedpur, Gumla, Sahebganj and Giridih.

A plan is being prepared to set up new state universities in Jamshedpur, Gumla and Sahebganj districts of the state with the aim of promoting higher and technical education. Apart from this, a proposal is being prepared to set up three new technical universities in Jamshedpur, Dhanbad and Dumka, such Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore has said in the budget.
