This Esteroid was first seen on 27 December 2024 by the Asteroid Terrestrial-Embarrassment System (ATLAS). After this, as more information was received about it, scientists warned that there is a possibility of this estroid hitting the earth.

How far will Esteroids be from Earth

After analyzing the class of Esteroid 2024 YRR4, scientists discovered that it would pass very close to the Earth once every eight years. According to NASA’s Center for Near-Economic Studies (CNEOS), Esteroid 2024 YR4 will reach very close to the Earth on 22 December 2032. At that time this earth will remain about 66,000 miles i.e. 106,200 km away. If there is a slight change in its orbit, it can hit the earth.

The Planetary Defense Office of the European Space Agency (ESA) has also confirmed this. The 2024 YR4 is about 99 percent of the possibility of passing the Earth safely on 22 December 2032. However, the potential collision cannot be completely rejected yet. According to scientists, Esteroids are likely to hit the earth 1 percent. It is considered very much in the history of astronomical phenomena. This has reached the Esteroid 2024 YRR4 22 European Space Agency’s Impact Risk List and NASA’s risk table.

Effect will be destructive

According to scientists, if Esteroid 2024 YRR4 enters the Earth’s atmosphere, it can cause an explosion. This explosion can cause heavy havoc on the earth.
