Sufi music program is being organized on Friday evening in Sundar Nursery in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Sufi music festival, Jahan-e-Khusro 2025. During this, PM Modi enjoyed listening to Sufi music.

Speaking at the Jahan-e-Khusaro program in Delhi, PM Modi said, ‘Such events are not only important for the culture and art of the country, but also gives a comfort. Jahan-e-Khusro program has also completed its 25 years and in these 25 years this program has made a place in the hearts of people, which is its biggest success.

PM Modi said, ‘There is a different fragrance in this event of Jahan-e-Khusro. This fragrance is of the soil of India! The Hindustan, which was compared to Hazrat Amir Khusro to Jannat. Our Hindustan is the garden of paradise, where every color of Tehzeeb has flourished. There is something special in the mood of the soil here.

Sufi tradition created a distinct identity

PM Modi said that the Sufi tradition in India has created a distinct identity. Sufi saints have not limited themselves to mosques or khankahs. If he read the Herf of the Holy Quran, he also heard the voices of the Vedas. He has a sweet pair of songs of devotion in Azan’s Sada.

Khusro described India as great from other countries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Hazrat Khusro has described India as great from all the big countries of that era. He described Sanskrit as the best language in the world. He considers the mystics of India bigger than big scholars.

Promote art and culture

PM Modi has been a strong supporter to promote the diverse art and culture of the country. For this reason, PM Modi participated in the Jahan-e-Khusro program on Friday, which is an international festival dedicated to Sufi music, poetry and dance.

Program will be held from 28 February to 2 March

This festival is bringing artists from all over the world together to celebrate the legacy of Amir Khusro. The festival is organized by the Rumi Foundation. It was launched in 2001 by famous filmmaker and artist Muzaffar Ali. This year it will celebrate its 25th anniversary and will be held from 28 February to 2 March.

Short films will also be shown at the venue

During the festival, Prime Minister Modi also reviewed the TEH Bazaar (promoting TEH-handmade items), which featured crafts related to a district-one product and various excellent artifacts from across the country as well as short films on handicrafts and handlooms.
