Delhi-NCR has turned into a gas chamber. The Supreme Court has reprimanded the Delhi government for the delay in implementing Grap-3, Grap-4 in the pollution case. Why did you wait for three days? AQI is more than 400 in most places. The air quality had become “severe” on the 12th itself. Why did it take you 3 days to implement Grap? Now even if AQI comes below 400, we will not allow you to withdraw Grape-4. We propose to give this order. You will not withdraw Grape 4 without the permission of the court.
It is worth noting that pollution has reached the serious category, in view of which GRAP-4 has been implemented in Delhi from today, but its effect is not visible at the moment. After AQI reached 450 on Sunday, it was decided to implement GRAP 4, but this morning the situation worsened and AQI has reached 500 and close to 500 in many places including Dwarka and Najafgarh. Talking about the average AQI of Delhi, it has also reached 481. The condition of NCR is also similar. AQI was recorded at 384 in Noida, 400 in Ghaziabad, 446 in Gurugram and 336 in Faridabad. Online classes are going on in schools up to 9th standard in Delhi, while the government can take a decision today regarding work from home for employees.
