Can someone be so cruel that he stabs a pregnant woman multiple times for just Rs 170? A similar heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Florida, America. According to police, a pizza delivery girl from Florida allegedly attacked a pregnant woman with a knife 14 times after getting angry over not getting a tip of $2 (about Rs 170). The accused pizza delivery girl has been arrested by the police. Meanwhile, the condition of the victim woman is said to be stable.
The incident happened a few days ago in a motel in Florida, when 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo delivered an order to a family celebrating a birthday. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said Alvelo returned to the motel with an accomplice and carried out the attack. After delivering the pizza, Alvelo returned to the victim’s motel room with an unknown male who was armed with a weapon, the Sheriff’s Office said. Both of them forcibly entered the room. As soon as Alvelo entered the room, he began attacking one of the victims with a knife. The victim was stabbed multiple times, and items from inside the room were taken away.’
The police officer said that Alvelo delivered a pizza, which cost $33 (about Rs 2800), to a family celebrating a birthday. But the family did not have any change, they had a 50 dollar note (about 43 thousand rupees). Later, after much searching, the family returned the money and gave only 2 dollars (170 rupees) as tip. This made the delivery boy very angry. 90 minutes after delivering the pizza, Lal reached the spot in a Toyota with a masked companion. Youths armed with guns forcibly entered the victim’s room and started attacking the family.
It is being told that as soon as the intruders came inside, the woman tried to save her child. Police records show that the victim’s back was injured while trying to save her daughter and her phone was broken when she tried to call for help. After this, Alvelo stabbed the woman 14 times with a knife, while his companion, armed with a gun, kept threatening them to run away. As soon as the police arrived, the attackers fled from the spot and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where her condition was said to be stable. During treatment, the victim came to know that she was pregnant.
The next day, authorities arrested Alvelo, but his accomplice is still at large. Alvelo is charged with attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, assault and kidnapping. He is being held in the Osceola County Jail. Alvelo worked at ‘Marco’s Pizza’. The company issued a statement expressing grief and regret over the incident. He said, ‘We are very saddened by this incident. The company has promised to cooperate fully with the police authorities.
