An investment of Rs 80,000 crore is being expected through more than 5,000 investment proposals in the state. The most investment proposals have been received by Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala and Fatehgarh Sahib districts. Around 4,00,000 jobs will be generated on completion of these investment proposals for several sectors, including real estate, agriculture and food processing, manufacturing, automotive and auto components.

Nabha Power (L&T) has invested Rs 641 crore in the power sector of Patiala. At the same time, Japan’s Toppan is investing Rs 548 crore in the packaging sector. Apart from this, Ambuja Cement Project of Rs 1400 crore in Hoshiarpur, Ruchhira Papers Limited Project of Rs 1137 Crore, Nestle India Project in Moga of Rs 583 crore, Happy Forging Project of Rs 438 crore in Ludhiana, Friedberg of Rs 338 crore The group’s project and Dras engineering project of Rs 194 crore in Hoshiarpur is in the state.
