10 devotees from Sagar who had set out on Narmada Parikrama had taken a taxi to Salkanpur to visit Maa Vijayasan Temple. While returning, the brakes of the taxi failed and after that it collided with an electric pole in front at high speed. Two people suffered serious injuries in the accident.

Due to the arbitrariness of private unfit taxis, accidents are happening here every day. In such a situation, the lives of the devotees coming here are being played with.
A similar accident happened once again on Thursday night at around 8.30 pm. Some people of Sagar have gone for Narmada Parikrama, during this time when they reached Salkanpur, they hired a private taxi and 10 people boarded it and reached the court of Maa Vijayasan Dham.
5 out of 10 people in the car were injured
When these people were coming down the valley after having darshan, the brakes of their car failed and it hit an electric pole. The incident is said to have taken place near Surya Gate on the hill. In this, 5 out of 10 people traveling in the vehicle were injured.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Salkanpur outpost in-charge Bhavani Singh Sikarwar left with the team and took charge of the situation after reaching the spot. All the injured were sent by vehicle to the Community Health Center located at Rehti. First treatment was given to the injured here.
Two people had serious injuries in their mouth, due to which they have been referred to Bhopal. The police is investigating the matter Salkanpur outpost in-charge Bhavani Singh Sikarwar said that an FIR will be registered in this matter.
Accidents are happening continuously, still no reason
Accidents are happening continuously in Salkanpur. Even after this, the temple committee and the district administration are not taking any responsibility. Private taxi vehicles are being used to transport the devotees here. Most of the vehicles operating here are in condition.
These vehicles were also inspected by the RTO, but instead of taking action against the vehicles, the RTO allowed them to run here. In such a situation, now the lives of the devotees coming here in these condom vehicles are being played with.
Let us tell you here that since January this year till now, many people have lost their lives due to accidents of these taxi vehicles and many people have also been injured.
Congress raised questions
Congress youth leader Vikram Mastal Sharma has raised questions regarding the accident in Salkanpur. He has said that Salkanpur is the center of faith for all of us and it is not right for accidents to happen here every day.
Many times, regarding the taxis running here, it has also been said that taxi quota vehicles should be installed here, but the work of transporting devotees is being done by private quota vehicles. The lives of devotees are being played with by condom vehicles.
Accidents are happening every day, but no proper measures are being taken to prevent them. Mera Mandir Committee and newly elected MLA of Budhni assembly constituency Ramakant Bhargava are also requested to take cognizance of this serious matter.
