Sarkari Naukri: IIT (ISM) Dhanbad has taken an important step by giving priority to the mental health of its students. The institute has started a new initiative to deal with stress, depression and mental pressure. Its objective is to provide a happy and positive environment to the students, improve their mental state and help them focus on their studies. Under this initiative, the institute has started the process of appointing an expert counselor. An official advertisement has been issued for this, in which the required qualifications and application process for this post have been mentioned. Interested candidates can apply for this post till January 18, 2025. The main function of the specialist counselor will be to understand the mental health issues of the students and provide them support at both personal and professional levels. Apart from this, his responsibilities will also include guiding students on important skills like stress management, increasing self-confidence and time management. The institute believes that amidst studies and academic pressure, students often face mental stress, which can have a negative impact on their performance and personal development. Essential Qualifications
It is mandatory for the candidates applying for this post to be graduate and post graduate in Psychology. Along with this, the candidate should have passed Clinical Psychology with minimum 55 percent marks. Apart from this, it is also mandatory to have at least five years of experience as a counselor.
Age limit and honorarium
The age of the candidates applying for this post should be less than 60 years. The selected counselor will be appointed on contract basis. They will be given an honorarium of Rs 81,000 per month.
