A all -party meeting was held on Wednesday at a census -based delimitation and Tri Language War under the leadership of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin. Stalin proposed to form a joint action committee by combining political parties of South Indian states on the issue of delimitation.
Stalin said that if the seats in Parliament increase, then the 1971 census should be made the basis. He also demanded that after 2026, the 1971 census should be considered as the standard while doing the boundary of Lok Sabha seats for the next 30 years.
Attacking the Center over TRAI language, Stalin said that if the BJP’s claim is true that our honorable Prime Minister loves Tamil, then why does it never look at work?
Many parties including AIADMK, Congress, Left Party (Left Party) and actor Vijay’s party TVK participated in this meeting. At the same time, Tamil Manila Congress (Muppanar) of BJP, NTK and former Union Minister GK Vasan boycotted the meeting.
Stalin said- Hindi removed from central government office
Posting on social media X, Stalin wrote- Tamil will not increase by applying senses in Parliament. Remove Hindi from the central government office in Tamil Nadu, make Tamil equal to Hindi and give Tamil more funds than Sanskrit.
Stalin also questioned the promotion of Sanskrit and Hindi. Demanded from the Central Government that the works of Thiruvalluvar should be declared a national book. He said that if PM Modi is truly love with Tamil, then make special plans for Tamil Nadu, give disaster relief funds and start new railway projects.
Accused of imposing Hindi-Sanskrit Stalin said that crores of rupees are being spent on celebrating Hindi fortnight in Tamil Nadu and name Sanskrit in schemes. Instead of keeping the names of Tamil Nadu trains in Hindi, Tamil names should be given. Giving examples, he said that instead of trains like Tejas and Vande Bharat, names like ‘Semozhi’, ‘Muthunagar’, ‘Vaigai’, ‘Malakottei’ and ‘Thirukkural Express’ should be given.
What is delimitation?
The process of setting limits of delimitation means Lok Sabha and Assembly seat. Commission is formed for delimitation. In the past, commissions have been formed in 1952, 1963, 1973 and 2002.
The delimitation process regarding Lok Sabha seats will start from 2026. In such a situation, there is a possibility of increasing about 78 seats in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. The southern states have opposed population -based delimitation. Therefore, the government will move towards proportional delimitation, in which the framework to maintain population balance is being prepared.
What will be the framework of delimitation?
Prior to the delimitation commission, the government has started work on framework. The existing system regarding representation will not be tampered with, but a broader framework is being considered keeping in mind the demographics balance.
What will be the change in the seats
Tamil Nadu-Puducherry has 40 Lok Sabha seats. In Uttar Pradesh, 14 seats from the current 80 seats increase, while half of it is in Tamil Nadu-Puducherry. That is, the population is not the only option to increase the seat.
On the basis of population, seats will also increase in population control states in the same proportion as much seats will increase in Hindi Patti. There will be an MP in a population of 20 lakhs in a Lok Sabha and another place will be an MP at a population of 10-12 lakhs.
What will happen to minority dominated seats?
In the 85 Lok Sabha seats of the country, the population of minorities ranges from 20%to 97%. According to sources, Lok Sabha constituencies can be drained afresh under delimitation to maintain the demographic balance on these seats.
What will happen after women’s reservation?
Since 1977, the number of Lok Sabha seats has been freezed, but now it is bound to defrieve it after giving 33 percent reservation to women. States with effective control in population growth rate have warned that their seats will be opposed on this basis.

Under NEP 2020, students must learn 3 languages, but no language has been made mandatory. States and schools have the freedom to decide which 3 languages they want to teach.
It has been recommended to study in primary classes (class 1 to 5) in mother tongue or local language. At the same time, it is mandatory to study 3 languages in middle classes (class 6 to 10). It will be English or a modern Indian language in a non-Hindi speaking state. If the second and 12th school wants to give foreign language as an alternative.
Hindi second language among non-Hindi speaking states
The emphasis is on studying classes up to 5th and where possible in the mother tongue, local or regional language. At the same time, Hindi can be taught as a second language in non-Hindi speaking states. Also, in Hindi speaking states, there may be another Indian language (eg Tamil, Bengali, Telugu etc.) as a second language.
It is not mandatory to adopt a language
States and schools have the freedom to decide which three languages they will teach. There is no provision to impose any language compulsorily.
