Washington:
A new revelation has come to light regarding the deadly attack on US President-elect Donald Trump in a golf club in Florida in September. The task force investigating this attack has raised questions on the Secret Service agent in its report. The task force has also suggested changes in the Secret Service deployed to protect the US President. An officer claimed that suspect Ryan Wesley Roth was standing behind the bushes during the attack on Trump. The distance between Trump and the attacker was about 300 to 500 meters. A Secret Service agent was just 5 feet away from the suspect. He opened fire targeting the suspect. The surprising thing is that the secret agent missed his target not once or twice, but 6 times.
The House Task Force, which is investigating the assassination attempt against Donald Trump, released its report on Tuesday.
The task force has also given some recommendations to prevent such incidents in the future. In the 180-page report, the task force said that the first attacks on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania could have been prevented. But effective measures were not adopted for this. After which another incident happened. “The Secret Service’s multiple failures combined to create an environment in which Donald Trump and the officials involved in his election campaign were in grave danger.”
