Kerala Student Died Painutly: The postmortem report of 16 -year -old Muhammad Shahbas, who was brutally attacked in Kerala’s Kozhikode district, revealed the seriousness of the attack. The skull under his right ear was broken, and deep wounds were found on his nose and under the left eye, as well as serious injuries. His chest attack caused internal bleeding.

Where did this incident happen

The attack started from a Farewell party at a tuition center in Thhamarsery. Although Shahbas was not a student there, he unknowingly became a victim of violence. The police suspect that the attackers used Nanchuk (also called Nanchaku) to attack his skull. It is a weapon used in martial arts.

Shahbas died due to serious head injury during treatment at the intensive medical unit of Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital. He died at around 1 pm on Saturday night. Police said that five students were detained after the incident, they were accused of murder and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.

The postmortem report confirmed that the attack caused serious fractures and brain injuries in the skull of Shahbas. After the postmortem at Kozhikode Medical College, his body was taken to his ancestral home at 3 pm. It was kept for public darshan before burying. Hundreds of people including family and friends gathered for his last darshan.

What was the fight

According to the police, during a dance performance, some students of Thhamarsery Government Vocational Higher Secondary School made fun of the students of MJ Higher Secondary School. This caused tension, which increased further in later days. After the Farewell Program, students from various schools posted social media on Instagram and gathered in the city. On 27 February, about 15 students, including Shahbas, encountered the second group on Vajhuppur Road in Thhamraseri. Around 5 pm, this violent clash turned into a clash.

Initially, Shahbas was not seriously injured. He was rushed to Thamraseri Taluk Hospital and then sent home. However, his condition deteriorated and he was transferred to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, where he remained in a coma till his death.

The police registered a case based on the complaint of Shahbas’s father. After death, the allegations were converted into murder. The parents of the accused have been instructed to present the students again before the Juvenile Justice Board. The police is also investigating whether other people were involved in this. Kerala Education Minister V Shivnakutty has ordered a departmental inquiry into the incident. The Director of Public Education has also said about a detailed investigation. Union Minister Suresh Gopi said, “Although cinema may have some effect, it is necessary that everyone plays a role in the upliftment of society. No one should take on the wrong path.”
