Prayagraj. There is a lot of activity these days in the holy city of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. Here preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 are in full swing. Only 3 days are left for the beginning of this Mahakumbh and it is going to start from 13th January. The first royal bath is to be held here on 14th January. Bollywood’s superstar singers are also going to add their voice to the hustle and bustle of this Mahakumbh. From Shankar Mahadevan to Kailash Kher and Mohit Chauhan, Bollywood singers will try to enthrall people with their voices. The Cultural Ministry has released the complete list of singers yesterday. Veteran singers like Mohit Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan and Kailash Kher are going to be included in this list.
The festival will begin with a performance by Shankar Mahadevan on the first day. On the last day, Mohit Chauhan will conclude the program with his soulful music. Throughout the Maha Kumbh, many acclaimed singers including Kailash Kher, Shaan Mukherjee, Hariharan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kavita Seth, Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma, Shovana Narayan, Dr. L Subramaniam, Bikram Ghosh, Malini Awasthi and many more will spread the magic of their voices. The Culture Ministry has issued a press release saying that the purpose of these events is to create a mesmerizing spiritual environment for the devotees. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj to review the preparations for Mahakumbh. He visited various Akharas and met the sadhus. During his visit, the CM also took a ride on ‘Nishadraj’ cruise in Sangam Ghat area and took stock of the preparations. Officials were also accompanying him during the tour.
Mahakumbh will be held amidst tight security
Earlier, talking about the security arrangements, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that the administration has deployed 125 ambulances which are equipped with 15 advanced life support (ASL) systems. These ambulances provide basic life support in case of emergencies. Pathak said, ‘One hundred and twenty-five road ambulances have been equipped with 15 Advanced Life Support (ALS). Apart from this, air ambulance and seven river ambulances have also been deployed. Of the seven river ambulances, you will see one of them deployed today and the rest will be deployed from tomorrow. The government has made appropriate arrangements to deal with any kind of situation. Inspector General of Police, Prayagraj Tarun Gauba on Wednesday said that a 7-level security plan is being implemented to prevent any untoward incident at the mass religious event.
Security forces will be deployed in 7 layers
Tarun Gaba said, ‘Maha Kumbh 2025 is the largest gathering of humanity. We are committed to provide good arrangements here and the Maha Kumbh festival should be celebrated in a very safe and orderly manner. We are ensuring impenetrable and foolproof security here. We have implemented a plan. A 7-layer security plan in which people will be screened and suspicious persons will be identified at various levels, we are also coordinating with various agencies including state and central agencies.’ He said, ‘We are also trying to use AI-enabled cameras and are using a total of 2700 cameras. And we are taking all necessary action to ensure the safe conclusion of Mahakumbh. Mahakumbh is being celebrated after 12 years and more than 45 crore devotees are expected to attend this event. During Mahakumbh, devotees will gather at the confluence of rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati to take a holy dip. It is believed that this frees one from sins and gives salvation. Mahakumbh will conclude on 26th February. The main bathing ritual (Shahi Snan) of Kumbh will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya) and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
