US President Donald Trump has given relief to Mexico amidst the possibility of trade war. He has postponed the decision to impose 25 percent tariff on goods coming from Mexico for a month. New rates of tariffs will be applicable in April. At the same time, he has said about Canada that due to Justin Trudeau, the problem of tariff has arisen and he is using it to win the election. Trump has made it clear that he may be giving relief to Mexico, but the tariff rate on the goods imported from Canada will not be low.

Relief to Mexico

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he has postponed 25 percent tariff on most of the goods coming from there for a month after talks with the President of Mexico. Trump’s announcement came after his statement by his commerce secretary Howard Lutnik, stating that both Canada and Mexico would “possibly” delay in tariffs. On Thursday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau indicated that he feels that his country would be entangled in a trade war with the US in the near future.
