Various development works are proposed under the re-densification scheme in the Municipal Corporation area at a cost of Rs 73.57 crore. These include new corporation office, housing, river front, amphitheater, solar power plant, hostel, road, and fire station construction. 16230 square meter land will be sold for these works.

The new building of the proposed Municipal Corporation office will be built at a cost of Rs 7.70 crore on the land of Seed Development Corporation located on Collectorate Road. Along with this, for the first time, mayor’s residence will be constructed at a cost of Rs 66 lakh and residences for corporation officers will be constructed at a cost of Rs 104 lakh.
River front will be built in Rajghat and Satiara Ghat
According to MLA Archana Chitnis, the proposal to build a river front at Rajghat and Satiara Ghat of Tapti River was stuck for a long time. Under this scheme, river front construction will be done at both the places at a cost of Rs 7 crore.
Amphitheater with capacity of five thousand spectators
In the coming time, the Municipal Corporation will also have an Amphitheater with a capacity of five thousand spectators. It will be constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore. Apart from this, water purification plant and solar power plant will be established in Intkwell at a cost of Rs 5 crore.
Land will be sold for the scheme
All these construction works will be done by the Municipal Corporation by selling the valuable land in the city under the re-densification scheme. Under the scheme, Rs 54.25 crore will be obtained by selling 16230 square meters of land in the urban area, while including other works, a total of development works worth Rs 73.57 crore have been proposed.
After getting in-principle approval from the district level committee, these proposals have been sent to the empowered committee for approval. On Sunday, Mayor Madhuri Patel, MLA Archana Chitnis, former Mayor Atul Patel met Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and gave information regarding development works.
construction of fire station
Residential building and fire station will be constructed in the municipal corporation area at a cost of Rs 160 lakh each. Works including service road, side drain, utility duct, footpath and signage will be done from Shanwara to Collector office for Rs 520 lakh.
Sports Complex
A 50-50 seater hostel, boundary wall and furniture will be constructed near the sports complex for Rs 412 lakh. Partition and furniture work will be done in the Collectorate complex at a cost of Rs 60 lakh. For the police department, it is proposed to construct a conference hall for Rs 53.60 lakh, community hall for Rs 41.80 lakh and Doordarshan office for Rs 45 lakh.
In the re-densification scheme, there will be construction of cemented roads on the land of old buildings for Rs 80 lakhs, road construction for Rs 120 lakhs, home guard stores for Rs 60 lakhs, E-type bungalows for Rs 109.60 lakhs, running tracks for Rs 666.90 lakhs and other works.
