The election meeting of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh was scheduled for 16th November. But due to bad weather, Akhilesh’s helicopter could not fly. After 11 years, Owaisi raised the issue of Muzaffarnagar riots
While campaigning in Maharashtra, Asaduddin Owaisi had made his agenda regarding UP clear. These days he is soft on Congress but tough on Samajwadi Party. After eleven years he has again raised the issue of Muzaffarnagar riots. In the election rally in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, he made many allegations against Akhilesh Yadav. He said that Akhilesh had left the Muslims to their fate during the riots. At that time Akhilesh Yadav was the Chief Minister of UP. After the riots, Owaisi also visited Muzaffarnagar. Taking a jibe at Akhilesh, Owaisi had said – Muslims are just vote banks for Samajwadi Party.
AIMIM is contesting elections on three seats in UP
AIMIM is contesting on three assembly seats in the UP by-elections. Kundarki seat of Ghaziabad, Mirapur and Moradabad. Asaduddin Owaisi will campaign only in Mirapur and Kundarki. Muslim voters dominate both these assembly seats. In Kundarki there are 65% Muslim voters. In the last assembly elections, Owaisi’s party had got around fourteen thousand votes on this seat. Who is the real leader of Muslims? This is the real issue. Owaisi says that Akhilesh Yadav takes votes of Muslims, but does not give them a share in power. His allegation has been that Muslims just spread carpets in Samajwadi Party.
Latest round of Owaisi vs Akhilesh
The latest round of Owaisi vs Akhilesh contest has a connection with Maharashtra. There are two MLAs of AIMIM. One is from Malegaon and the other from Dhule. This time Akhilesh Yadav has fielded Samajwadi Party candidates on both these seats. Not only this, Akhilesh even went to both the places and campaigned. At the same time, Owaisi had also decided to try his luck in the UP by-elections. In the last Lok Sabha elections, Owaisi campaigned in UP but did not field any candidate.

In the election of Mayor of Meerut, BJP faced Owaisi’s party. Akhilesh’s party was out of the contest. This time Owaisi is coming to UP with this intention. The campaign for the assembly by-elections in UP will end tomorrow evening. This time by-elections are being held on nine seats. The most interesting contest is on the last day of the campaign.
Owaisi vs Akhilesh Yadav battle
Tomorrow both the leaders are campaigning in Meerapur seat of Muzaffarnagar. AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi is coming to campaign in UP by-elections for the first time. His party is contesting elections on three seats. In Maharashtra, Owaisi had accused Akhilesh Yadav of leaving Muslims to fend for themselves during the Muzaffarnagar riots.
CM Yogi out of UP on the last day of campaigning
Here, for the first time in this by-election, Akhilesh Yadav’s MP wife Dimple Yadav will come out of Karhal and hold a road show in Kanpur today. Naseem Solanki is contesting from Samajwadi Party from Sisamau assembly seat here. Akhilesh Yadav will hold a road show in Meerapur. Whereas UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be in Jharkhand on the last day of the campaign. He will hold election rallies in Rajmahal, Jamtara and Deoghar. Of the nine assembly seats in UP for which voting is on November 20, three were held by BJP, four by Samajwadi Party and one seat each by BJP’s allies RLD and Nishad Party. There is an alliance between Samajwadi Party and Congress in this election. But Congress is not contesting the elections.
