Mahakumbh 2025 The first Amrit Snan is today and a total of 13 Akharas will form part of the Amrit Snan. Amrit Snan has started from 5:15 in the morning and is going to continue till 5:20 in the evening. At the Sangam, 13 Akharas will take bath in Amrit as per the given time. Some Akharas have taken bath in Amrit. While some Akharas are still waiting for their turn. Common devotees are not allowed to go to Sangam Ghat during Amrit Snan. The administration has made separate arrangements for the bathing of common devotees. Arrangements have been made for the common people to take bath in Amrit at a short distance from Sangam Ghat. In the picture given below, you can see that arrangements have been made for common devotees to take Amrit Snan on the Yamna side. Whereas at Sangam, only the sadhus of the Akhara are allowed to take bath in nectar.
Heavy police force deployed at the ghats
First, in view of the expectation of huge crowd at Amrit Snan, heavy police force was deployed at the ghats, while a large number of police forces were deployed at the entry and exit points on the Pontoon Bridge also. Police assistance booths were set up at all the major intersections on both sides of the Ganga, where police personnel were seen alert and ready. Police forces also remained active on the watch towers at the intersections and kept a close watch on every activity.
SSP Mahakumbh Rajesh Dwivedi said that the security arrangements are fully prepared. Since the day before, all the policemen have been working with full diligence on their duty. Complete security has been ensured at the ghats also.
Mahanirvani and Atal Akhara were the first to take bath in nectar.
Today, first of all, Shri Panchayati Akhara Mahanirvani and Shri Shambhu Panchayati Atal Akhara took bath in Amrit. This Akhara left the camp at 5:15 am and reached the ghat at 6:15 am. Bath time will be 40 minutes. After this, Shri Taponidhi Panchayati Shri Niranjani Akhara and Shri Panchayati Akhara took bath in Amrit. This Akhara left the camp at 6:05 am and reached the ghat at 7:05 am and took bath. At the third place, three Sanyasi Akhara are going to take Amrit Snan. These include Shri Panchdasnam Juna Akhara, Shri Panchdasnam Aavahan Akhara and Shri Panchagni Akhara.
Among the three Bairagi Akharas, the first All India Shri Panch Nirmohi Ani Akhara will start from the camp at 9:40 am and reach the ghat at 10:40 am and after taking bath for 30 minutes, it will leave the ghat at 11:10 am and reach the camp at 12:10 pm. All India Shri Panch Digambar Ani Akhara will start from the camp at 10:20 am and reach the ghat at 11:20 am and after taking bath for 50 minutes, will leave the ghat at 12:10 pm and will return to the camp at 1:10 pm. All India Shri Panch Nirvani Ani Akhara will leave the camp at 11:20 am and reach the ghat at 12:20 pm. This Akhara will take bath for about 30 minutes and after that will return from there at 12:50 pm and reach the camp at 1:50 pm.
The remaining three Akharas are associated with the indifferent sect. In this, Udasin Shri Panchayati New Udasin Akhara will depart from its camp at 12:15 pm and reach the ghat at 1:15 pm. After taking bath for 55 minutes, this Akhara will leave the ghat at 2:10 pm and reach the camp at 3:10 pm. Shri Panchayati Akhara Naya Udasin Nirvana will leave the camp at 1:20 pm and reach the ghat at 2:20 pm. After taking an hour’s bath here, we will leave the ghat at 3:20 pm and reach the camp at 4:20 pm.
At the end, Shri Panchayati Nirmal Akhara will take nectar bath. This Akhara will leave the camp at 2:40 pm and reach the ghat at 3:40 pm. After taking bath for about 40 minutes, the Akhara will leave the ghat at 4:20 pm and will return to the camp at 5:20 pm.
