Before the assembly elections in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has announced ‘Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana’. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 18 thousand will be given every month to the priests and priests of Delhi. Registration for this scheme will start from Tuesday. Kejriwal says that this plan will be implemented with the return of power in Delhi. Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party had announced ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’, in which women were announced to be given Rs 2100.
AAP launched a series of schemes…
- Sanjeevani Yojana: Under this scheme, all the elderly above 60 years of age will be given free pension.
- Mahila Samman Yojana: It is being started for women, in this scheme women will be given Rs 2100 per month.
- Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana: Under this scheme, priests and granthis will be given Rs 18,000 every month.
Arvind Kejriwal said during a press conference, ‘An important scheme is being announced today in honor of all the priests and priests serving in the temples and gurudwaras of Delhi. All of them will be given honorarium by Aam Aadmi Party. ‘Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana’ will start as soon as our government comes to power. This is happening for the first time in the country. No party or government has done this. I hope that BJP and Congress parties will also start such a scheme for priests and priests in their states.

Kejriwal said that ‘Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana’ will start from Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place. He said, ‘Registration of this scheme will start from tomorrow (Tuesday). We are going to launch this scheme from Hanuman Temple located at Connaught Place. First of all, I will register the priests from Hanuman temple, after this our party MLAs and workers will go to all the temples and gurudwaras of Delhi and register the priests and granthis.
Attacking the BJP, Kejriwal said, ‘I request the BJP with folded hands that they tried to stop our Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. At least do not try to stop this scheme being started for the priests and ministers. The priest and the granthi work as a bridge between us and God.
Imam of mosque also gets salary
In Delhi, Imams of mosques registered with Delhi Waqf Board are already paid salaries. He is also given a salary of Rs 18000 per month. Therefore, in today’s plan, a plan was announced to honor only the priests of Hindu temples and the priests of Gurudwaras of Sikhism. Similarly to Imams, priests and priests will be given Rs 18,000.
