Yashasvi completed his century by hitting a six off Josh Hazlewood. He has become the third Indian to score a century in his first match in Australia. Before him, Sunil Gavaskar had achieved this feat in 1977 and S Jaisimha in 1968.
KL Rahul is out after scoring 77 runs in 176 balls. He was caught by Mitchell Starc at the hands of wicketkeeper Alex Carey. Team India started playing in the morning with a score of 172 runs. Jaiswal scored 90 and KL Rahul led their innings with 62 runs.
Earlier, Australia was all out for 104 runs in the first innings. In this way India got a lead of 46 runs after the first innings. The Indian team had scored 150 runs in the first innings.
