This is Zimbabwe’s highest score in its test history. Earlier, Zimbabwe had made the highest score in the Test against West Indies. In that Test held in 2001, Zimbabwe declared the innings at 563 runs at the loss of 9 wickets against West Indies. Zimbabwe, who came to bat first after losing the toss, had a bad start and the team lost the wicket of Joylord Gambi at the score of 43. Joylord Gambi was out after scoring only 9 runs.
