Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot said in Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Monday that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has insulted Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar in Parliament and for this he will have to apologize to the country. Pilot said that there is anger in the entire country against Amit Shah’s statement. The country has understood the real intentions of BJP and their thinking is against the Constitution and Dr. BR Ambedkar.
Sachin Pilot said in a press conference in Noida, “During the discussion on the glorious journey of the Constitution of 75 years in the Parliament session, the Home Minister has insulted Babasaheb in his speech. Everyone is hurt by this statement. Be it the Prime Minister, the Home Minister or BJP, they have nothing to do with the Constitution. Babasaheb was deliberately insulted. Therefore, not only the Home Minister should resign, but the entire BJP government should apologize.”
The Congress leader said that not only Congress but people of every section look at Ambedkar ji with respect. He has been insulted by what the Home Minister has said against him. He said, “I am not saying this because we are in the opposition. The Home Minister of the country has said such a thing inside the Parliament. He will have to apologize to the entire country. This is not the first time. A lot of thinking- The Constitution, which protects the poor, tribals and deprived people of the country, was deliberately insulted. The Constitution is the biggest scripture of the country.
He said that the whole country is angry with what was said against Babasaheb. Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party have been saying for a long time that these people neither care about the Constitution nor the spirit that Ambedkar ji has presented in the Constitution. The words used by the Home Minister are derogatory. Every person in the country is angry today due to his statement. The allegation of pushing and shoving by BJP is indecent.
Sachin Pilot said that he had never seen such use of force in the Parliament of the country before today. He said, “I am very sorry for the drama that was created. Some BJP MPs are falling. They are being admitted to the hospital. Some are in the ICU. Then the Prime Minister is calling them. When they got hurt, there were no wounds. When they reached the hospital, huge bandages were applied so that the anger of the people on the Home Minister could be diverted.
