If Pakistan does not give up its stubbornness, it will cause huge losses.
The Champions Trophy is to be held in February next year. The eight best teams from around the world will take part in it, but as of now, let alone the schedule, it has not even been decided what will be the venue of the Champions Trophy. Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB is adamant on its insistence. But if he continues like this, he may have to suffer huge losses. ICC may soon give its final verdict on this entire matter.
Although Pakistan has got the hosting of Champions Trophy 2025, but BCCI has refused to send Team India there. Indian players are not safe in Pakistan, hence this decision has been taken. No compromise can be made with this. BCCI has given this information to ICC and ICC has also informed PCB about this decision. The ICC has proposed to the PCB that like the Asia Cup, the Champions Trophy should also be conducted on a hybrid model. In this, all the matches of India can be played at some other venue and the remaining matches can be played in Pakistan only, but the PCB is not ready for this yet.
Champions Trophy may start from February 19
According to the draft schedule of Champions Trophy prepared by PCB, it is to start from February 19, that is, less than 90 days are left in this tournament. The schedule of any ICC tournament should be announced at least 90 days in advance, but this limit has also ended now. All this is happening because of the stubbornness of PCB. Meanwhile, now the ICC is in a mood to take a final decision regarding this entire matter soon. It is learned that an ICC meeting will be held on Friday, November 29, in which this will be resolved. That means now ICC is in a mood to give more relaxations.
The entire tournament can be held in another country
What could be a matter of tension for Pakistan and PCB is that if it remains adamant that the entire Champions Trophy will be organized in Pakistan, then it may have to suffer huge losses. Although there is no information yet, but if this continues then ICC may ask to hold the entire tournament in some other country. This means that the 10 matches that Pakistan may get to play on its soil will also be lost. In such a situation, there is full hope that PCB can change its views.
PCB will suffer huge losses
Pakistan Cricket Board is already struggling with financial problems, if ICC adopts a strict stance then it may face even more problems. That means now the turn of the Champions Trophy chapter has come to a close and it is believed that Pakistan will have to back down from its stubbornness. As soon as its venue is decided, the schedule will also be released soon after that.
