Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Andhra Pradesh and Odisha state from Wednesday. PM Modi will dedicate a project worth about Rs 2 lakh crore in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on January 8. At the same time, PM Modi will inaugurate the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Conference in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, on Thursday 9 January. During this time the Prime Minister will also flag off the Pravasi Bharatiya Express.
PM Modi’s visit to Andhra Pradesh
The Prime Minister will inaugurate, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs 2 lakh crore in Visakhapatnam on January 8 at 5:30 pm. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for NTPC Green Energy Limited’s Green Hydrogen Hub project at Pudimadaka near Visakhapatnam – the project will be the first Green Hydrogen Hub under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. There will be an investment of approximately Rs 1,85,000 crore in this project. Apart from this, the PM will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various railway and road projects costing more than Rs 19,500 crore in Andhra Pradesh, which includes laying the foundation stone of the South Coast Railway Headquarters in Visakhapatnam, among other projects.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of Bulk Drug Park at Nakkapalli in Anakapalle district of Andra Pradesh. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Krishnapatnam Industrial Area (KRIS City) under the Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh. The project is expected to attract significant manufacturing investment of approximately Rs 10,500 crore and also create approximately 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs.
PM Modi’s visit to Odisha
After this, PM Modi will inaugurate the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Conference in Odisha. The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Conference is being organized in Bhubaneswar from 8 to 10 January 2025 in partnership with the State Government of Odisha. The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Conference is the flagship event of the Government of India, which provides an important platform to connect with the Indian diaspora and enable expatriates and nationals to interact with each other. A large number of NRIs from more than 50 countries have registered to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan.
The Prime Minister will flag off the inaugural journey of the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train for NRIs. The train will depart from Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi and travel to several sites of tourist and religious importance in India for a period of three weeks.
