He said that semi-automatic couple, modular toilet, chair pillar and partition, emergency talk back feature, emergency brake system, lighting system like Vande Bharat trains, new ergonomically designed seats and berths have been improved. The design of the pantry car is also new.

Amrit Bharat train will have a total of 22 coaches including 8 general coaches, 12 three-tier sleeper coaches and 2 guard compartments. They are manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.

People’s convenience should be above politics On another question, Vaishnav said that the state government should extend its support as land allotment to the ministry has been a big issue. We need the cooperation of the state government in acquiring land.
