He further said that we have successfully started a project on behalf of Indian Isle in Panipat, in which one lakh liters of ethanol, 150 tonnes of bio-bitumen and 78 thousand tonnes of bio-aviation fuel per year are being made from maize and rice straw. So that we can run the aviation industry with bio aviation fuel.

Naiduniya Representative, Indore. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the country’s food giver has now become a fuel giver, hydrogen giver, energy giver and bitumen giver. We want to use agriculture in the energy and power sector.
To reduce fuel import and pollution in the country, ethanol, methane, bio-diesel, bio-LNG, bio-CNG, electric, bitumen and hydrogen fuel are being manufactured.

- 60 projects have been started to produce bio ethanol and bitumen and 350 are in process. He said that I also have an Innova car, which runs on 100 percent bio ethanol.
- Along with this, Tata, Mahindra, Hyundai, Toyota and Suzuki companies are also in the process of launching cars that run on 100 percent ethanol.
- Union Minister Gadkari, who is importing fuel worth Rs 22 lakh crore, also unveiled the HCNG (Hydrogen CNG) vehicle made by the team of Indore Institute of Science and Technology, Rau at the BAJA event.
- This year, 62 teams have participated in the BAJA event, out of which 18 teams are participating with HCNG vehicles. Whereas 44 teams participated with CNG and petrol vehicles.
- Gadkari took a tour of the state-of-the-art high-speed test track at Netrex in a Ferrari car driving at a speed of more than 200 kmph. Along with this, he also observed the rigorous testing of Bamboo Crash Barrier.
To come first in automobile sector
- Gadkari said that the automobile industry is the backbone of the country’s economy. When I took over as minister, this industry was worth Rs 7.5 lakh crore but now it has reached Rs 22 lakh crore.
- This has also provided 4 crore 50 lakh jobs. We were at number seven in the world in the automobile sector, but now we have come at number three.
- In this, USA is at the first place with an industry of Rs 78 lakh crore, China is at the second place with an industry of Rs 47 lakh crore and India is at the third place with an industry of Rs 22 lakh crore. Now our aim is to come first.
